Our Mission
Whether you’re expanding your collection of recordings, curious about a piece or performer, or just looking for reviews, InterClassical is your guide through the world of classical music and opera.

The Founder & Publisher
The founder and publisher of InterClassical is Yehya Alazem. Born in Syria, he has lived across the Middle East and Europe—including the UAE, Kuwait, Sweden, and the UK—and is now based in Germany. An opera critic for over a decade, Yehya began writing for Tidskriften OPERA in Sweden and the German blog Klassik-begeistert before launching his own project, Capriccio, in 2018. His primary focus is the opera and piano repertoire of the Romantic era. He also plays the piano and the oud (Arabic lute). Yehya holds an M.Sc. in Nuclear Engineering, with a specialization in Radioactive Waste Management, and his greatest passion besides music is golf.
